555 squadron are a unit within the Canadian Air Cadet Program. This squadron focuses on fostering citizenship, leadership, physical fitness, and interest in aviation among youth aged 12 to 18. Their motto, "Onward and Upward!", reflects their commitment to helping cadets grow and excel.

555 asked me to redesign their website to improve the user experience. The first part they wanna change is to shorten the naviguation bar. The second part was to redesign the look of the website. They have been using the same layout for a long time and wanted to change for a better eye-catching design. Other parts were to improve the overall functionality and ensure that the website was user-friendly and accessible to everyone.

Sketches and Wireframe

The idea was to make a simple sketch, but an effective design clearling up the messy part of the current website.

Challenges

The challenge was to organize the files in Wordpress. Every pags was disorganized but I made it work by reorganizing post to one a page.

Results

The redesigned website for 555 squadron has received positive feedback from cadets and staff. The simplified navigation and clean design have made it easier for users to find information and navigate the site. The website is now mobile-friendly and accessible, allowing users to access it on any device. The client is pleased with the results and has seen an increase in traffic and engagement on the site. Overall, the redesign has been a success and has helped 555 squadron better serve their community.
